All-in-One Ventilation & Comfort: IEC’s Vertical Stack ERV Upgrade

Integrated Energy Recovery for Vertical Stack Systems

IEC has introduced an important enhancement to its trusted Vertical Stack fan coil line. This new addition is the Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) System. While ERV technology has long supported better indoor environments, IEC’s built-in design brings new levels of simplicity, performance, and efficiency to multi-unit buildings and space-constrained projects.

Different from add-on ERV systems that require additional field coordination and ductwork, this factory-integrated solution delivers fresh air, improves indoor air quality (IAQ), and reduces load on HVAC equipment.

How It Works: Energy Savings Year-Round

The ERV system captures heat and humidity from exhaust air and transfers it to incoming outdoor air without mixing airstreams.

  • In winter, it tempers and humidifies cold air before it enters the space.
  • In summer, it precools and dehumidifies warm outside air, easing demand on heating and cooling systems.

This process recovers up to 80% of exhausted energy, helping reduce utility costs while maintaining comfort throughout the year.

Designed for Efficiency, Built for Reality

IEC’s integrated ERV system is suited for apartments, hotels, student housing, senior living, and other vertical stack applications where mechanical space is limited.

Key advantages include:

  • Factory-integrated design minimizes field labor and coordination.
  • Single-point electrical connection simplifies installation.
  • Front-side service access allows easy maintenance of filters and motors.
  • Certified performance with AHRI certification and ETL/cETL listing.

Reliability Backed by IEC Standards

Each unit is fully tested, inspected, and engineered in the USA for consistent performance and long-term reliability. IEC delivers a solution that supports IAQ goals, energy savings, and occupant comfort.
