Greenheck RT Rooftop Units at the Sioux Falls Outdoor Campus

By Jeremy Goodroad, Equipment Sales Manager, Climate Systems Inc.

Commercial buildings today expect more from their rooftop HVAC systems. Spaces need to stay comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient without over-cooling or causing humidity issues. That’s why Climate Systems is implementing the new Greenheck RT rooftop units across the region, including the expansion project at the Sioux Falls Outdoor Campus.

A Real Local Example: Climate Systems + Sioux Falls Outdoor Campus

The South Dakota Outdoor Campus expansion will give the community access to indoor and outdoor archery and BB gun ranges, plus a dedicated space for processing and cooking wild game and fish. To support those activities, the building requires clean ventilation, humidity control, and consistent comfort for both visitors and staff.

Climate Systems provided Greenheck RT rooftop units that will serve:

  • A 12-lane indoor range
  • Classrooms for instruction and training
  • Offices for campus staff

These spaces need a more sophisticated heating and cooling system. They require precise air quality control to create a safe and healthy environment. Greenheck RT units deliver exactly that.

Why Greenheck RT Units Are the Right Choice

Greenheck has led the industry in air movement since 1947. Their RT rooftop units bring modern performance to comfort control with features designed for efficiency and safety, including:

  • Inverter scroll compressors for optimal performance at part load
  • EC condenser fan motors to reduce energy use and control head pressure
  • Direct drive fans for reliable airflow in VAV systems
  • R-8 double-wall construction + injected foam insulation to minimize sound and leakage
  • Environmentally friendly R-454B refrigerant to reduce carbon impact

Optional Features That Enhance Performance

Greenheck offers several enhancements to suit the needs of your facility:

  • Air-source heat pumps for efficient, all-electric heating and cooling with dual fuel options
  • Modulating hot gas reheat for humidity control without over-cooling
  • Modulating powered exhaust to maintain proper pressure
  • Modulating gas furnaces and SCR electric heat for precise temperature control
